The Yemeni collection

Yemeni honey

Yemen has some of the oldest beekeeping traditions in the world. Each of our five honeys comes from a different blossom, region and season, and each has its own story. They're presented here from the most premium down.

Flagship Jar of Yemeni Sidr honey

Sidr

Yemeni Sidr Tree Honey From the Sidr (Lote) tree · Yemen

Sidr is our flagship and the honey Yemen is famous for. It comes from the blossom of the ancient Sidr tree, also known as the Lote tree, and is a luxurious favourite among honey lovers around the world.

It's expensive, as the best things often are, because the Sidr tree flowers for only a short period each year. That limited harvest, together with its unique aroma, gives Sidr its exclusivity and its value. It has long been treasured in traditional wellness for its natural properties.

Kars

Yemeni Kars Honey Rich in royal jelly · Yemen

Yemeni Kars honey has a delicious, unique flavour. It's moderately sweet and so thick it's almost like jam, thanks to its natural royal jelly content (royal jelly is the food of the queen bee).

Jar of Socotra Aloe Vera honey

Aloe Vera

Yemeni Aloe Vera Honey Socotra Island · Yemen

Unlike our other honeys, Socotra Aloe Vera honey is much less sweet. It's still a wonderfully rich, raw honey, but with a very distinctive taste: smooth and full-bodied, with a slightly astringent finish.

It comes from Socotra, one of the most unique and biodiverse islands on earth. Traditionally it's chosen by people who want a honey that's less sweet, and it's valued for its naturally low glycaemic character.
